You open Claude to knock out a sales email. An hour later you’ve regenerated it five times, reworded the prompt again, and you’re still rewriting half of it yourself. These are the skills I use all the time, ready to install. The structure is built in, so when you run one it writes onto a proven framework instead of inventing one as it goes. You set them up with your business and your offers once. After that they just go.

    The Copywriting Skill

    Turn any offer into copy that actually sells. This skill walks you through the exact four-phase process: lock the strategic purpose first, map the structure, draft for substance, then polish to your voice. Works for sales emails, social posts, ad copy, CTAs, opt-in pages, launch announcements, anything persuasive. It learns your business, audience, and voice once, then writes in your style every time after. First run sets up your profile in about two minutes.

    The Sales Page Skill

    Write a full long-form sales page that earns the click. This skill anchors the whole page to one clear purpose so it sells one thing well, then builds it section by section: hero, problem, offer stack, proof, FAQ, and CTA. It keeps to a single call to action, never invents fake testimonials, and delivers a branded HTML page you can preview or hand to a developer. Learns your offer, voice, and brand colours once and applies them throughout.

    The Prompt Writing Skill

    AI is bad at writing prompts for AI. It waffles, buries the job under a wall of don'ts, gives itself a generic role, and forgets the tool it's writing for has no memory. This skill fixes that. It works out where the prompt will run (Make.com, a Claude Project, a custom GPT, or a paste-and-run), what kind of job it is, and what you actually need out the other end, then builds the prompt in the right shape: role, context, task, rules, output, and clear markers for where your input goes. Works for a one-line rewrite instruction or a hundred-line agent. It also reviews and fixes the prompts you've already got.

    The Membership Platform Skill

    Build your own members' area instead of renting one. This skill starts with the planning phase, the customer journey, before a line of code: what a stranger sees, what's locked, what happens after they pay, what stays human. Then the architecture (Next.js on Vercel, Neon, Clerk, Stripe, Resend) with the rules that stop you building something leaky, then a fourteen-step build order for Claude Code and a launch checklist. It's the process behind the platform you're reading this on, with nothing of mine in it.

// How to install a skill in claude.ai

  1. Go to Settings, Capabilities and make sure Code Execution and File Creation are turned on. Skills won’t work without this.
  2. Go to Customize, Skills.
  3. Click to upload and select your skill file. It needs to be a .skill file or a zipped folder containing a SKILL.md.
  4. It installs automatically and appears in your skills list, toggled on.
  5. Test it with a couple of relevant prompts to check it triggers and behaves as expected.

Safety notice: only install skills from sources you trust. A skill is not just passive instructions. Per Anthropic’s own docs, skills may include, or instruct Claude to install, third-party packages and software for Claude to use when completing a task. That means a skill written by someone with bad intentions could run code or pull in software you didn’t expect. Before installing anything from outside Anthropic or your own team, open the SKILL.md and any bundled scripts and actually read them. If you can’t see what it does, don’t install it.
